Cooplexity Institute is a nonprofit organization focused on making know the Cooplexity model and its related areas of knowledge as well as its fields of application. The Cooplexity model is a model of cooperation in complexity to manage interrelations and interdependences under uncertainty and changing environments.
It is based on the opinion that in these times of crisis, change, ambiguity, interdependence and complexity, the idea of the individual as corporate leader is losing its credibility in most sectors. The new approach of Distributed Leadership offers an alternative, comprehensive and current decision-making model with which to face the executive challenges of the 21st Century.
Distributed leadership offers the possibility of senior executives working in congregate, not aggregate, to achieve performance benefits at both individual and group levels. Diverse individuals, with divergent analytical perspectives, undertake complementary actions by mobilizing “local” knowledge for strategic advantage.
